4500 words for creative fiction and nonfiction submissions. And yes! As long as the pictures embrace the strangeness that we are promoting or this edition.
OK, sounds good! Just completed an original 4500 short story that fits the requested theme. Before I submit it, just wanted to clarify (based on the info you requested in cover letter) – is it required to be a student in order to make a submission? Also, should you choose to not publish my submission, would I retain the right to seek publication elsewhere? (i.e. with your boss Andrew Zack)
No, you do not need to be a student! We are looking for submissions from everyone, everywhere. Usually, this journal has been meant solely for students in the past, but we are branching out this year! And yes, you retain the rights. All we ask is that you mention where your piece was first published (i.e. pacificREVIEW “Strangely Ever After” journal).
